We southerners are take pride in our BBQ. There are many ways to prepare it and this will not be the time or place for me to argue which is best, although I am from eastern NC, if that says anything to you! Fayetteville, NC recently became home to a fairly young new company with only 19 locations open, MISSION BBQ.
After church, my family gathers together and debate on where to head for lunch. This past Sunday, we made our way to the new spot in Fayetteville off Skibo Road. All family members were super impressed with the whole dining experience. There is ease of entering and exiting the parking lot, not mention, plenty of places to park. The restaurant had plenty of seating to accommodate the long intimidating line. Now, don’t let the line fool you. They have a smooth system in place that will get you through quickly. And you really want to wait in line, trust me. There is always one of the very friendly staff bringing samples of the meats through. The size of the samples are huge so be sure not to fill up on them or you will not be able to finish the ample amount of food on your tray! They serve a variety of meats with a multitude of sauces at the table. The sides are glorious! They include mac and cheese (a must try), pork and beans, cold slaw(yes cold, not cole), green beans with bacon, and other seasonal picks.
Check them out for yourself and let us know what your favorite side is!
