It's exciting and terrifying to be in the market to buy a home. Being well-informed and well-prepped for the process is a great way to ensure that the procedure does not overwhelm a buyer. Throughout the process, home buyers are likely to have a lot of questions.
One thing to note is that if you are buying a home there is no such thing as a "dumb question". This might be the biggest purchase you'll ever make and being well educated about the process is a must. So here are some of the most frequently asked questions from a buyer:
Why do I need a Real Estate agent to help me buy a home?
From the start to you moving into your new home, your Rockel Group agent will take care of everything. They will guide you through the entire home-buying process. They will explain and inform you about all of your options. They will represent you throughout the whole transaction. This includes documentation, negotiations, inspections, and just about everything that you need in your home buying process. Get to know our agent here.
What’s the very first thing that I have to do?
Your Rockel Group agent will always recommend that before you begin looking for a home, you must first establish how much does buying a home cost. It's better to know first hand what you can afford rather than getting into the process blindsided. Except if you intend to pay in cash, getting pre-approved for a loan should be done first thing. Once you've been pre-approved, you'll have a better idea of how much house you can buy.
I loved the property I found. What should I do?
Your Rockel Group agent will get the information of the property and in the case you say it's the one, your Realtor will guide you through submitting an offer on your dream home and then handle the negotiations and all the paperwork needed to get your offer accepted.
How do I know if I’m not ripped off?
Knowing exactly how much a home is worth, is nearly impossible. But the agents of The Rockle Group are an expert in using comparable data from properties that have been recently sold around the home you wish to buy, and will give you a figure on how much that home would approximately cost. That is to guarantee that you are paying a reasonable amount.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUY A HOME?
Buying a home takes about 30-45 days. But it is highly different from one buyer to another, this is because every transaction is unique on its own. But not to worry, your Rockel Group agent will be there every step of the way.
What if I changed my mind and do not want to proceed with buying the home?
You can typically withdraw from buying the house before closing. However, you must put in mind that once you have signed the purchase agreement as well as the seller, the Earnest Money you paid for the property will not be returned to you.
As we know, when someone is new to the home buying process, they have a lot of questions. This is by no means a complete list, but these are the most frequently asked questions we receive when working with a buyer.
